Our Google+ Hangout on Demystify health insurance aimed to clear every doubt that viewers had about health insurance, regardless of the company offering it. However, due to time constraints, not every query could be answered live. That’s why, we decided to compile a list of every query that was submitted to us during and before the Hangout, along with the answer to each.

Q. I am 62 years old and retired. I had undergone angioplasty in 2013. Now I am healthy. Can I get a cover?

Q. I would like to know the insurance premium for full medical coverage at all the renowned hospitals.

Q. I have 4 different mediclaim policies from the same branch of United India, total sum insured is about Rs.24,00,000/- I want to port all the polices to Bajaj Allianz and retain my total sum insured around the same figure.

Q. Make prices of health insurance policies a little more competitive and more in line with our competitors as we lose a major chunk of rollover customers because of our pricing.

Q. As I can see that Bajaj Allianz is constantly coming up with new health products, as a part of your promotion you can tie up with chemists and private medical clinics/dispensaries.

A. This is a nice suggestion and can be taken up.

 

Q. 1. Health cards to be issued on the line of bank ATM card instead of every year to reduce carbon emissions and costs. 2. Mandatory updation of bank details at the time of fresh health policy issuance so as to avoid the same being asked for at the time of reimbursement claim and also to avoid the impression that asking the same does not guarantee approval. 3. Alternative medicines can be considered for pre- and post-hospitalisation expenses.
